Brett Riser received his B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife with a concentration in Fisheries from Michigan State University (MSU). He worked for the MSU Fisheries and Wildlife department for two seasons as a seasonal technician while earning his degree. From there he worked with the USFWS in South Carolina on coastal habitat restoration and trap and transport with American shad and redfish. He currently works for the Calhoun Conservation District heading the Fisheries/Aquatic Unit performing habitat restoration projects and evaluating fisheries and aquatic conditions within the Kalamazoo and St. Joseph watersheds.
